2 shot in East Evans Ave. shooting, one dies 02/21/19

02/21/19 Denver, CO-Denver cops say two men were shot on this date in the 6900 block of E. Evans Ave. in a double shooting that left one of the men dead and the shooting suspect wounded.  Police say the shooting happened around 11:30PM.  When this reporter paused at a red light just blocks from the crime scene, I witnessed numerous Denver PD patrol cars and Arapahoe Sheriff cars running red lights and sirens to the scene.  Officers taped off East Evans Ave for several blocks in both directions to secure the scene which was at an apartment complex located just East of South Oneida Street.  The shooting sent both men to a local hospital for gunshot wounds where one of the men later died.  The shooting suspect, who police say is under investigation for first degree murder remained in the hospital in unknown  condition.  It is not known what led up to the shooting incident.  Shane Anthony reporting ColoradoNews1.com
