02/15/17 Aurora, CO – This morning saw a heavy police presence on S. Peoria St. near S. Parker Rd. as Aurora Police tried to coax a dangerous man out of a tattoo shop where he was barricaded inside. The incident began around 2:30AM today in a tattoo shop located at 3095 S. Peoria St. The man, who Aurora police later identified as John Arthur Thomas was wanted by the Federal Heights Police Department on charges stemming from domestic violence. The Aurora cops took no chances this morning as the barricaded man made threats to police. Police also believed the man was armed. Numerous tactical police resources were called in to deal with the barricaded man. The situation was eventually peacefully resolved with the barricaded domestic violence suspect being taken into custody and turned over to Federal Heights Police. S. Peoria St. which had been closed between E. Cornell Ave. and S. Parker Rd. reopened around 11am this morning. Shane Anthony reporting ColoradoNews1.com
02/14/17 Denver, CO – 6:52PM – Denver District 4 Cops are presently on the scene of a serious accident at the intersection of S. Federal Blvd. and W. Mississippi Ave. Patrol officers have called for DPD Traffic Investigators to the scene. Denver Police are reporting this to be a serious hit-and-run car vs. motorcycle accident via their Twitter account. 02/12/17 Denver, CO – 8:05 PM – Denver Police are currently on the scene of a double-shooting in the 500 block of South Sheridan Blvd. The shooting was reported to 911 around 7:20PM this evening. According to scanner traffic 2 people arrived at a house with a possible open door when they both were shot. Suspect info is not known at this time. 2 victims were transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Denver District 4 officers currently have a large presence on S. 02/11/17 Denver, CO – A man was struck and injured by a Denver RTD Light Rail train early on this date at the I-25 and Louisiana Light Rail train station. The accident occurred around around 1AM. Moments before the train vs. pedestrian accident Denver Police were searching an adjacent section of I-25 looking for a man who was reportedly shirtless and acting crazy in the center median of the highway. Police were unable to locate the man, but moments later a man was struck by a Light Rail train in the same vicinity. It is unknown to us if the man who was struck by the train was in fact the same man who was reportedly acting strangely on I-25.
